Koalas live in Australia. They can be up to 0.6 -0.9 meter long. They have brown fur (毛), and patches (斑点) of white on the neck and ears. The fur keeps them from cold weather and rain. They have strong feet and hands, so they can hold (抱住) the trees they live in. Koalas spend most of their time in trees. They eat leaves and they can make sure the leaves are delicious. Sometimes koalas must find a tree with more leaves. A mother koala keeps her baby safe and warm. When the little koala is very young, the mother koala has it in her arms or gives it a piggyback (背负式) ride. A baby koala starts to climb (爬) trees when it is nine months old.
